The personality of the week - Monday

Alisia

This is the first part of what will be seven short stories about the personification, or rather monsterification, of the days of the week. Featured in the story is Kayleigh, a slightly tragic twenty-something who lives in a ground floor flat with her cat Tuffty. Through her story we see the days of the week melt and merge through the times of the day and into each other. The idea formed when I was writing an email to a friend at about midnight on a Sunday night and thinking solemnly to myself about the fact that it was already Monday morning. Thank you for reading!

This is excellent. It almost makes you feel bad that you're finding Kayleigh's misfortunes so amusing. It's definitely a piece that I think most people can relate to.

I love how the day itself has so much character and evolution., I have never seen time described in such a way. I can't wait to see more in the series.

Have you ever read Garth Nix's "Keys to the Kingdom"?
If not, you should :) I love the idea of your stories. Very cool :)

What a wonderful and intriguing story. You make the day seem like it's own person which is wonderful and listening to Kaleigh's misfortunes can't help but bring a smile to my face.
